W.A.R. # 37 : Star Wars, AT-TE

The AT-TE or All Terrain Tactical Enforcer is one mean machine. An earlier version of the 'walker' models, this walker was by no means a perfect machine. It had its share of design flaws but if you were a trooper in the midst of battle which would you prefer? On the ground being shot at or inside one of these babies?

Packaging
This came out last year in conjunction with the Clone Wars movie. The vehicle came with one clone trooper. Despite the fact that they kept advertising that the vehicle can hold up to 20 clone troopers...I mean that's just being mean...rubbing it in your face. By the way the pics below were taken from www.rebelscum.com. I bought this last year so I'm too lazy to look for the box.

Detail/Sculpt
When I first heard that Hasbro was making this vehicle I thought to myself that it sounded too good to be true. We've all seen it before in Ep. II & III, but not a lot of what it can do. So when I saw the Clone Wars trailer back then and this magnificent vehicle climbed that vertical cliff...I was like "AWESOME!! I want that!". That and it was toysale season, sealed the deal for me. Of course I'm not expecting it to climb any walls...not unless I use Devcon Epoxy. LoL.

Front & Rear

Driver
Hmm...no seat belts?

Gunner's Station
It's lonely on top...but at least you control the big gun..hahaha

Command Section

I'm really not sure what to call it...so I just called it the 'Command Section'

Holding bay

It first came into the market ranging from AUD 130 to 150. Even now its still above AUD 100. But I just saw the toy catalogue for Target(sale starts on 23rd July) and its AUD 75!!

For Star Wars figures & vehicles, this had to be the must-have toy of 2008. It would've stayed like that till the end of 2009. Then Hasbro decided to launch the Clone Turbo Tank. Have you seen the clips about the Turbo Tank on youtube? I suggest you go and have a look. Cheers.
